Handhold Summer School - Toulouse, France 27th - 31st July 2015

(organised by Queen’s University Belfast)

Professionals and postgraduate students in the field of border security have the opportunity to learn about the latest research and cutting-edge technology in a summer school organised by Queen’s University Belfast.

The School will be of interest to staff and early stage Postgraduate students in the fields of sensor technology, ICT and networking.

The week-long workshop, which will be based in Toulouse, France, is being co-ordinated by the HANDHOLD Consortium, with a focus on new technologies that can complement the role played by detection dogs in border security.  HANDHOLD is a European project led by Queen’s Centre for Secure Information Technologies (CSIT) with a brief to develop a portable, handheld device to provide enhanced detection of bombs, drugs and other illegal substances in airports and border crossings.
